As I'm in a humorous mood (strange, considering I'm currently reading Solzhenitsyn), just submitted a humorous poem inspired by, what else? The Phantom of the Opera!

I actually wrote it sometime in 2005 and it has since undergone several revisions. Am planning to submit more "phan phiction" as soon as I get the hang of DA (like how to deal with multiple chapters for a single story). In the meantime, here's the first of the lot I'd like to share.

Hi! Am real stoked right now. Been a lurker for months, but have finally mustered the courage to upload some stuff of mine. Nothing much, mind, mostly 'diary entries' and drawings I did out of boredom several years ago in MS Paint on me dad's clunky old laptop, the kind with the little rubber green thingy in the center of the keyboard (do they still make those??). Think it's called a trackball, or something like that. Imagine having to draw using that tiny thing as a mouse. 'Twas great practice, though. Needless to say, what resulted was hours of misspent youth, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Been lagging way behind in my drawing (shame shame) as I no longer do it as often as before. But am desperately trying to catch up. Am more a traditional media kind of person and I love working with pencils and charcoal. Problem is, I don't own a scanner. So until I can afford one, will have to make do with stuff made/drawn directly in the computer.

That's it for now. Hope to make DA-ing a regular thing for me.
